Plan 1.5, in collaboration with the research team at the UC Berkeley and the European think tank Carbon Market Watch(CMW), conducted a comprehensive analysis of the cookstove projects currently listed in the Ministry of Environment's Offset Registry System.
The analysis revealed that the emissions reductions claimed by cookstove projects invested in by Korean companies such as Samsung Electronics, SK Group, and Korea East-West Power were 18.3 times greater than the actual reduction effects.
